Courses offered by the Provincial School of CNSAS Trentino and the National Schools are reserved for selected rescuers. To access training, it is necessary first to pass the entry selection and become part of the Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico Trentino.
Joining the Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico Trentino is a choice born from the desire to dedicate your time and skills to the community, even in extreme situations. Our training programme allows you to progress step by step, acquire new skills, and work alongside a well-prepared and united team.
Requirements
Not everyone can become an operator of the Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico Trentino, as it is an activity that demands high levels of preparation, attention, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The selection process allows us to assess not only technical skills, but also the ability to read and interpret the environment, move independently in diverse terrains, and maintain focus and clear decision-making under pressure.
Application form
Complete the online application and submit it to the central office by 31st August each year. Before proceeding, contact the Capostazione for your area of residence – they will provide you with the link to complete the procedure.
Documents required:
After passing the selection (rock module and snow/ice module), you will begin a training period to learn mountain rescue techniques. Upon completion, you become an operational member and can participate in rescue operations.
Once part of the organisation, training is continuous through dedicated courses, refreshers and periodic assessments organised by our school.

Only after completing this step, you can join the actual training courses, run by the Provincial School in collaboration with the National Schools.

The course includes theoretical and practical modules on:
- Rope-handling techniques, the use of anchors and haul systems, stretcher management and orientations
- Orientation, terrain and risk assessment
