The man was hiking alone when he likely lost his footing and tumbled several meters down a gully. He sustained several injuries and found himself stranded in a precarious position at an altitude of 2,114 meters in the Crode Rosse area. The man himself placed the call to the Emergency Number 112 at approximately 11:40 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Emergency Coordination Center dispatched a rescue helicopter, while operators from the San Martino di Castrozza Station of the Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico Trentino (Trentino Alpine and Speleological Rescue) stood by at the helipad. The aircraft deployed a mountain rescue technician and a medical team to the site via winch.
